Fashionably Untrendy

Hello there! This is my visual inspiration blog for all the unsung heroes of fashion!

The break-down: When applied to fashion, a trend is usually a popular short-lived fad and someone “trendy” is usually someone who not only keep track of trends, but applies them to their daily lives. I am not one of said persons.

Fashionable is a word sometimes used to describe some one trendy, but trendy doesn't always have to describe fashionable. In a sense, trendy is a sub-category of fashionable.

Fashionable is often defined as stylish. Stylish means to have style, and style is defined as a distinctive manner of expression.

So we can conclude that fashionably untrendy roughly means: Someone who has a distinctive manner of expression who doesn't necessarily keep track of trends or apply them to their daily life.

That pretty much explains the concept. Sure, i could of used the example “hey, those shoes aren't "in" anymore but i like ‘em so I'm buying them anyway!” to get the gist of it but that wouldn't be the fashionably untrendy thing to do.
